Quiet on the Blogfront

Yes, we know. It’s been suspiciously quiet on the blogfront these past few weeks. We’ve been working on improving a number of things at Bliss, from internal infrastructure to our process for processing and also upgrading our lenses/equipment. To wit, we’re a little side-tracked. But it’s all good. Our 2010 Wedding Season has already commenced and it’s important we get our current projects shored up to make room for all the exciting new imagery that will be coming down the pipe. Thanks for your patience. Keep checking back!

Welcome Melissa Dafoe!

Bliss is thrilled to announce a new addition to our team: Melissa Dafoe. Melissa’s role will run the gamut from administration to assistance during our shooting days. We’ve already put her organizational talents to use and look forward to the whip-cracking that will ensue as she keeps us on top of our workload. We’ll post a full and *proper* welcome note once we’ve had the chance to snap a photo and get out from under our current projects.

Christine + Matt: V 1.5

A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of shooting a UK groom with an NWO bride. Loved it. LOVED IT! It’s refreshing to know that our quirky ideas for them were well-received and in fact, greatly appreciated. As we only initially posted a quick teaser, here are a few more of our fave images. Ideally we had wanted to get these up earlier in the week, if for no other reason than to give our happy couple something to do while they sat at YYZ waiting for the European skies to open back up. Thanks for your patience, guys. We’ll be getting you all your imagery in the next week. Cheers!

Sabrina: Beautiful pictures....can't wait to see them all!! Was a great party!! My wish for you is thatthe rest of your lives together is filled with lot's of love & laughter as was your wedding day!! Congratulations Christine and Matt 04.28.2010

Roger: .... good!... 07.30.2014

Vows. Wows. And an apple for the teacher.

Ms Brown is a woman on a mission. She’s a doer. A “get-er-done” lady who executes her plans with a certain style and panache that cannot be replicated. Perhaps this is why it was no surprise to us that she’s also a teacher. Lucky for her pupils back home in England… we’re certain they’re missing her. You see, Ms Brown leaped over the pond with her Brit fiancé in tow for the express purpose of having a little wedding back on her home turf.

When we met Christine, we learned that she literally breezed into town from Europe charged with the task of booking her wedding vendors in a matter of 36 hours. See above reference: “get-er-done” lady. Originally from Upsala, Christine knew exactly what she wanted and strategically laid out her plans in a matter of a day and a half. We were pretty blown away and obviously very excited to be meeting her new British family and most especially, fiancé Matt Dehnel.

Fast forward to this past Saturday, April the 10th. Despite her initial vision of a good old fashioned delayed winter (snow), the 18° and cleared up skies were a welcome surprise. Christine + Matt’s wedding day was chalk full of vivid imagery we will never forget: her saucy lace-up boots, the punchy red of the grooms’ boutonnieres, a secret visit to the church’s bell tower, getting the nod of approval from the patrolling police officer who took note of the goofing-off camera (clicking all the while), personal hand-written place cards, creative spelling with sparklers. The day just plain rocked. !

Christine + Matt: hope you enjoy this brief sneak peek. We know that your experience with Bliss was said to have been unlike anything conventional you would find in the UK {we’re cool with that as long as you are!}. But we are thrilled you and your overseas wedding party had a fantabulous time and we cannot wait to post more in the coming days. There are oodles of shots from which to choose… The few we’re posting below reflect your sassy personalities and will hopefully get you all revved up for what’s to come! Hope you’re enjoying the honeymoon and again, Congratulations to you both! I also feel compelled to just say, “Cheers.”

Christine + Matt: We love them!! We are stranded in Toronto due to the Volcanic Ash but have been so excited to finally get a moment of internet access to see the pictures posted!! Can't wait to see the rest - we had the best day ever and were so glad you captured it for us! The New Mr & Mrs Dehnel! 04.18.2010

Leslie: .... tnx for info.... 07.27.2014
