Bethanie + Marty {engaged! >> Punta Cana bound!}

Bethanie adore Marty. Marty liebt Bethanie. Her roots are French. His are German. And this cosmopolitan couple is heading to the Dominican Republic in January to seal the deal, taking Bliss with them {so excited!}. But let’s just set the stage and give you some of our own insight on these two crazy {CRAZY} lovebirds!

Sam says she remembers for years not understanding why someone as amazing as Bethanie was *single*. Bethanie chalked it up to a string of bad luck and high standards {fortunately for Marty!}. But Sam, she literally just didn’t get it. Bethanie was a girl who had it all: brains/beauty/intellect/sharp wit/drive. What was the dealio?? Where were all the good Thunder Bay men?? And then one innocent day while working at her then Confederation College job {no doubt planning something} she fortuitously connected with Marty, a film student. And yes, the rest is history.

But there’s even more depth to this rad couple that we’d like to share. You see, for those of you who are newly engaged and don’t yet know Bethanie Foster of You’re Invited Certified Event Consulting… you really need to give your head a shake. This woman can plan the dickens out of any event and within any budget! She will organize, visualize, stylize, and idealize your Big Day. We’ve had many of Bethanie’s clients referred to us over the years {you rock!} and when she asked if we’d like to take a crack at her Destination Wedding we could not refuse. Taking place this January at the elegant Punta Cana Colonial Majestic Palace, it represents a huge slice of excitement in the middle of our freezing cold weather {and slow season}. Not to mention photographic nirvana.

And what can we say about Marty? Well, we know him quite well, too. He’s been a key member of the Bliss team during our cinematography shoots for those clients who had our Fusion package. This guy can roll with any punch thrown his way {hey Marty, could you lighten up a bit??? You really need to just loosen up.}. His work is captivating and authentic which is one reason we love him so much. Nowadays he and Bethanie spend their days enjoying the first big purchase they made together: their new home, and in the downtime, we suspect that there’s just a little bit of planning going on. Bethanie, you come by it honestly!
